Frequently Asked Questions:

Do I need a flue?

Yes, all wood burning stoves require a flue as per building regulations.

I have an open fire and chimney,
so do I need a flue if I want a log burning stove fitted?

Yes, you will need a flue fitted.

What size wood burner do I need?

Measure the volume of the room you wish to heat in cubic meters (height x width x length), divide by 14. This will give the approximate wattage required. i.e. If the number you end up with is 5 for example, you need a 5 kilowatt stove to heat the room effectively. Your survey will factor in other issues like insulation and adjoining rooms.

I have no chimney, can I still have a stove?

Yes, a twin-wall insulated flue pipe can be put through an outside wall.

Our lounge needed a focal point and some warmth. We are so pleased with our contemporary wood burner and it was surprisingly straight-forward to have fitted.
